Your Facebook Friends Groups

Have you ever wondered what your Facebook friends groups are? Perhaps you just want some new Facebook group suggestions but the generic suggestions tab just isn’t giving you something interesting?

Here is a super simple way to see what groups certain Facebook friends belong to (except Secret groups.)

Go to Facebook and in the search bar type:

Firstname Lastname Groups

The results will show you all the public and closed groups your friend belongs to along with the description of the group, how many members it has and will give you the ability to join right there. Also the avatars to the left of the group show 4 of your friends that are in the group (if there are more than that.)

After the screenshot I share reasons you may want to use this feature.

It’s a quick and easy thing to do.

When you might want to use this feature:

  1. Search a friend who has similar interests to you to find groups on that interest
  2. Search a friend who has more business authority to you see where they hang out
  3. Search a friend who has a similar health problem to you to see if they are a member of any related health groups
  4. Search a newer friend to learn more about them based on the groups they have joined

Just be warned: You’ll probably end up a member of a lot of new groups.
